Tracy Watson - General Manager (Research and BIHR)
Tracy has worked in research management all her working life since 1996.  Having worked at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the management of Research and Medical Education, she joined the Bradford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2007.  As the General Manager (Research & Bradford Institute for Health Research), Tracy is responsible for the strategic and operational management and leadership to the Trust on all research matters.  This includes the development of research infrastructure, capacity and capability; performance and financial management of research; providing advice and support on all aspects of research and ensuring that the Trust’s research is of high quality and that there are increasing opportunities for Trust’s patients and staff to participate in research to enable better patient outcomes and improved healthcare.
 
 
Jane Dennison - Research Support & Governance Manager
Jane Dennison has worked for the Foundation Trust since 1984.  She helped to set-up the Research Liaison Office in 1995 and she has worked closely with the Foundation Trust’s General Manager for Research/BIHR and the Director in shaping the role of the research management and support function to its current form.  She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the research management and support team and represents research on the Foundation Trust’s governance and operational groups.  She is responsible for shaping the research governance systems and processes and provides advice and guidance to researchers and managers on all matters relating to research governance.  She is an NIHR trained Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Facilitator.  Jane is the Foundation Trust’s sponsor representative and oversees the contracting and budget setting processes that are inherent in clinical research.
 
 
Rutger Clarke - Research Co-ordinator
Rutger began his career in research as a Clinical Trials Assistant in a busy research team working on a diverse portfolio of Oncology Studies. He was later offered a role with the NIHR CRN: Yorkshire and Humber as a research facilitator. Rutger joined our team as a Research Co-ordinator in June 2014. He is primarily responsible for assisting reseachers with their research applications, as well as assisting the Research Support and Governance Manager with their duties.
 
 
Gemma Serra-Feliu - Research Information & Support Officer
Gemma works as a Research and Information Support Officer. She is responsible for updating, maintaining and reporting about research studies on the trusts research management system “EDGE”. Lou Slow - PA to General Manager
Lou joined our team in November 2016. Lou joined the team as the PA to General manager. She deals with the Research passports.
 
 
Waheeda Ahmed - Research Administrator
Waheeda has worked in the Trust for a number of years. She works as a Research Administrator. Her role is to provide Admin Support to the R & D Team.
 
 
Asimah Khalifa - Research Administrator
Asimah joined our team in August 2014 as a Research Administrator. She previously worked as a Recruitment Officer for the Human Resources team. Her role is to provide admin support to the R & D Team.
 
 
Tasleem Akhtar - Research Administrator Apprentice
Tasleem joined our team in March 2017 as a Research Administrator Apprentice. Her role is to provide admin support to the R & D Team.
 
 
Kelvin Stewart - Clincal Trials Assistant
A sport and exercise physiology graduate Kelvin has previously worked as a Personal Trainer and a Health & Wellbeing Physiologist before joining the BIHR in April 2016 as a Clinical Trials Assistant.
