Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network

The Improvement Academy is a core element of the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network hosted by the Bradford Institute for Health Research and focused on improving health services.

We are a team of improvement scientists, patient safety experts, patients and clinicians, supporting an improvement network of front-line staff. Our aims are to:

  • Ensure evidence-based solutions become routine practice
  • Bring about lasting change using improvement methods, human factors, psychology and implementation science
  • Co-create improvement with front-line clinicians, patients and the public
  • Reduce unwarranted variations in outcomes of care
  • Address professional and geographical isolation through network learning

Details of our improvement projects and patient safety work are available on our Academy website. You can also see our prospectus, register for our events, or you can contact us for further information.
