Director of Research Operations
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree, MSc in Operational Research and a PhD using operational research methodology to look at vision screening in children (all at the University of Birmingham), Tracy joined the NHS in 1996 and has worked in research management all her working life. Having worked at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the management of Research, Medical Education and other academic services, she joined the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2007. As the Director of Research Operations, Tracy is responsible for the strategic and operational management and leadership to the Trust on all research matters. This includes the development of research infrastructure, capacity and capability; overall responsibility for the Research Management and Support Office; performance and financial management of research; providing advice and support on all aspects of research and ensuring that the Trust’s research is of high quality and that there are increasing opportunities for Trust’s patients and staff to participate in research.
