Gill qualified as a Registered Nurse (Adult) in Leeds, working across various areas including general medicine, community settings and care home facilities.  She then spent a number of years supporting children, young people and families within the 0-19 Public Health Integrated Nursing Service and completing the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse degree programme.

Prior to joining the Academic Unit for Stroke and Ageing Research, Gill was involved with a number of projects aimed at addressing frailty within a local VCS organisation, including scoping new services, building community networks and coordinating healthcare interventions within primary and secondary care.  She has previously worked as part of the intervention delivery team on the PROSPER feasibility study.

Gill’s experience includes training, assessing and supporting learners; her professional interests include self-care and health promotion.  Gill will initially support the HomeHealth and HERO trials.
