Mary is a Reader in Health and Social Care, with substantive research interests in ageing, including later life mental health; chronic illness, including cancer and pain; and developing, implementing and evaluating complex interventions. She has particular expertise in qualitative methodology, including case study methods and mixed method approaches. Mary is an associate editor of Age and Ageing.

Qualifications include Masters of Social Science & Bachelor of Social Science.
