Jane is a Research Fellow currently working on a National Institute for Health and Care Research-funded Programme Grant for Applied Health Research investigating a personalised care planning programme to improve quality of life for older people with frailty.
She has a BA in Politics, Law & Sociology, an MSc in Health Sciences and in 2008 completed a PhD examining the routine communication of information to stroke patients and their carers. She is also a qualified Nurse.
Jane has worked in health services research since 1997. During this time she has been involved in a wide range of projects, including investigation of recovery patterns in subtypes of stroke, falls risk assessment in stroke, the prevention of delirium for older people in hospital and Cochrane reviews of information provision for stroke patients and carers and rehabilitation for older people in long-term care.
