
Rekesh joined the Academic Unit for Ageing and Stroke Research in October as a Research Fellow on the RECREATE project. Rekesh first trained as a dietitian; following this, he decided to pursue his interest in research by completing a Master’s in Public Health. Prior to Rekesh’s move to Bradford, he was a PhD researcher at the Centre for Public Health (CPH), Queen’s University Belfast. The PhD project explored the feasibility of a gamified pedometer intervention to encourage physical activity behaviour change in adolescents.
Rekesh has a keen interest in the promotion of physical activity for health and well-being, sedentary behaviour research, and methodology. Rekesh is experienced in mixed methods research, and has recently completed a systematic review and process evaluation
