Dr Preston became the speciality lead for GI Research in 2012, with an interest in IBD that has reflected heavily in the team’s activity. She is also a principal investigator on the commercial study ‘Go-colitis’ and has worked on many non-commercial IBD studies. The team have expressed interests in biosimilar studies in IBD as Dr Preston is well experienced in caring for this patient group receiving these new treatments.
Other research interests include genetic studies involved in IBD and establishing new effective treatments for these patients.
