Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr Brennan is a consultant anaesthetist and lead for anaesthetic research. Focused on recruiting to NIHR portfolio studies, particularly the larger pragmatic studies which aim to make a real improvement in patient care. Currently recruiting to PRISM which looks at the impact of CPAP after open abdominal surgery, and PQIP which is an observational study focusing on major surgery, and which will lead to the development of quality improvement initiatives. FLO-ELA will soon begin in Bradford. It will assess the impact of objective fluid optimisation on outcome from emergency laparotomy.
