Jane has worked for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 1984. She helped to set-up the Trust’s first Research Liaison Office in 1995 and continues to work closely with the Trust’s Director of Operations (Research) in shaping the Trust’s research management and support function. She is the Trust’s resident expert in matters relating to the governance of research and is responsible for shaping the Trust’s research governance systems and processes; providing advice and guidance to researchers and managers on all matters relating to research governance. She is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the research management and support office team. She is an NIHR trained Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Facilitator, acts as the Trust’s sponsor representative and oversees the contracting and budget setting processes that are inherent in clinical research. Since April 2020, Jane has taken on an internal role as PRC Business Manager working alongside the PRC research delivery workforce to implement the NIHR PRC franchise.
