Sophie Stephenson

Sophie qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1992 at Bradford School of Nursing. Following qualification she worked as a staff nurse, becoming a senior staff nurse in ENT and Ophthalmology in 1995. Sophie became a Research Nurse in 2002 developing new skills and a passion as a clinical research nurse. Since then she has completed a post registration BSc (Hons) in health and social care. In 2005 Sophie became Lead Gastro-intestinal Research Nurse and completed a Postgraduate Certificate & Diploma in Health Research at Leeds University. In 2013, Sophie completed an MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice at Bradford University, undertaking her own piece of research looking at IBD patient pathways in an acute hospital setting.

Currently  she is involved in all aspects of clinical management and development of the GI research portfolio.
